I was certified in Clinical Nutrition and Clinical Herbalism through NAIMH, which is now the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism. I'm well versed in wellness assessment, condition research and formulation of herbal remedies to improve, restore and support healthy function in the body. Nutrition is the foundation of your physical body's health. Without proper nourishment there is wide room for overall health disintegration aka dis-ease. Assessing your eating habits while looking for correlation to symptoms and complaints you are experiencing is a great teacher as to where improvements can be made. Attention to emotional/spiritual/mental health components will get you on your path of being revitalized. I was trained in the theory of Vitalism which is a clinical strategy based on the principle that Life, Nature, and the Great Spirit (from which we arise) are fully present in all the tissues of the body, as well as in the psyche, spiritual heart, and soul. This is how life is sustained and health maintained. By paying attention to and providing the momentum for personal evolution on all levels and for the fulfillment of one’s highest purpose in social and spiritual life, you can become truly vital, truly radiant.
This takes TIME: It takes time to undo generational wounds on all levels - physical, emotional, mental, spiritual (PEMS). It takes time to lose weight or gain confidence or inner strength or bodily strength. We go through seasons of up and down, ready to address these issues head on or maybe ready to take some time to rest and recouperate. Sometimes we must address our physical health and spiritual health at different times because all at once is too much. We leave relationships and gain or lose energy based on whether those relationships filled us up or depleted us. Your own family and friends may tell you "stop wallowing in", "You're taking a long time to get over it." and so on but how long will it take you to get healthy and what does healthy look and feel like to you? We are often born in situations of ill-health - abuse, abandonment, single parent houses, physically sick or addicted parents -- all of this can be part of our make-up, our generational "adhesions", like shadows stuck and we can't get unstuck. An example, being diagnosed with high cholesterol or high blood pressure by "western" "scientific" tests and numbers may tell us one thing, maybe we take pharmaceuticals based on these results. But, without looking into your "health matrix" your overall make-up, you are likely doing a disservice to your Self by "simply" taking meds and believing these numbers will change and you'll go off the meds and la dee dah, life (and your health) will just be "dandy". We want to believe that we're taking a silver/magic bullet to "get rid of" a "health crisis"/"dis-ease" but it takes time to get back into alignment, get back to overall health in all aspects (PEMS). Even functional medical doctors or naturopathic doctors, etc. have adopted a very allopathic regimen and simply take your symptoms and then tell you a whole bunch of supplements to take (vitamins, minerals, herbs, etc) - which may also, like allopathic pharma, change or even "better" your symptoms. Mostly this is because clients want their symptoms gone with as close to a magic wand as possible, no longer wanting to live with symptoms that affect their lives negatively. Of course that's what we all want - poof! Feel better!! or Poof! Weight LOST! But realistically, as they say, if it took you 10 years to be "an unhealthy weight" or you've been addicted to smoking cigarettes for x number of years, it's likely wishful thinking that Poof! Some drug or herb or supplement is going to instantly make a difference. This is why my approach will get you to your goals - but it will likely take some time. How long is usually up to you and how you can look at your health goals as a journey BACK to alignment and "feeling good" and not a quick fix regimen. We will work together to get you where you want to be. Yes, it may take some time but each milestone of physical change and spiritual growth and emotional and mental strength and confidence will be noticable along the way!
